Translating the Distribution-HOWTO, I noticed that the Debian Linux
(sic)
entry in this HOWTO was seriously out to date since it hasn't been
modified
since July 1998, when hamm was released ! Furthermore, it talks
about
Debian Linux instead of Debian GNU/Linux. I know this HOWTO is

them is not! Please tell me what I did wrong, or make the procedure a
lot easier! (The latter especially applies to the maintainers of that
NVIDIA package...)
Luckily, David Z. Maze has the lm-sensors as binary package in unstable
nowadays... :) (Although not yet for 2.4.21...)

IMHO, having apt-get to install recommended packages is a good choice.
It's not hard for the user with special needs to change it, even on a
lot of boxes. It's the current Recommends: fields that are broken, not
the tools. But IANADD.

So all one needs to do to get the package with the non-free parts is to
install the non-free -dev packages and do regular rebuild with
DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nonfree-codes". That's easy e

Lastly, the important license change of LGPL->zlib was actually decided to do at
this time, even if the "modules" of 1.2 already changed to this license in
