Do the Debian installer disks have that? I know that the Ubuntu ones do.
(If the Debian ones don't, that would be a good wishlist bug to file, I

I had something similar a few months ago, and it was related to the
kernel's clocksource setting.
But that was with 2.6.21 and 2.6.22, so probably doesn't apply here.
