Indeed, nodm doesn't use this file at all, nor does it conflict with
any other window manager. So installing nodm together with gdm,
lightdm, kdm,
Using 217-2 says nodm is masked.
Had to revert to 215-7 to get it to work.
Give it a try and tell me what happens.
