I've been running into this crash, also. I'm currently working around it by
uninstalling plasma-scriptengine-python, but of course that breaks python-
based plasma widgets.
In my case, I don't use veromix, but I have a small python plasma widget I
wrote myself. So with plasma-scriptengine-python

some more information:
* Just upgrading python-sip (and leaving python-qt4 at the old version)
also triggers the crash.
* Uninstalling veromix fixes the crash.
* I attached the backtrace.

upgrading python-qt4 to 4.10.3-2 and python-sip to 4.15.2-2 makes
plasma-desktop crash on startup.
I downgraded both back to their previous versions, now it's working again.
