What happens if you decrease this values:
* key_buffer_size
* read_buffer_size
* sort_buffer_size
* max_connections (to something like 30)

After upgrading from 5.0.51a-24+lenny3 to 5.0.51a-24+lenny4 the server
started to segfault. Downgrading to lenny3 solved the problem for me.
