My fault, I exported from gitk the wrong commit.

The proper fix to this bug was made up of two commits
d412a685736e3b3350b555f4d7d8ebfc80aa54c9 and
49c3a01d444052169363030dfd996fc7fd6a4fad, becuase the commiter made a
typo in the first patch
