I think I'm winning! I've deleted the QVMs from my pak0.pk3 and mp-pak0.pk3, and I can play Openarena locally with and without "mission pack" mode by using native shared objects for game logic, as long as I turn off sv_pure. Changes made in (still under development, please do not integrate yet):
