Does it actually freeze, or can you get to a console with Ctrl-Alt-F1? If your browser when starting pidgin from a terminal is links2, then it's probably the same as starting pidgin from outside a terminal. What is the browser set to in pidgin's preferences under the Network tab? On Mon, Feb 11, 2
