Not reassigning yet as people keep reporting this against

I can confirm too.
In console or xterm, it works fine.
When I use arrow up I get ;A
When I use arrow down I get ;B

Architecture:
The arrows work nice in "mc" started in the same terminal. The
lef/right arrow works fine even in the terminal (bash). The up/down
arrow doesn't work (it doesn't do anything) in bash and in reportbug
(but it works in mc).
So maybe some readline library problem?
