A new version of libsynaptics (0.14.5a) was released today. It is supposed to
support the new xorg synaptics driver. So all you need to do is to package
libsynap

the package seems to imcompatible with xfree86-driver-synaptics source
version 0.14.5-1. As soon as I start KDE, my touchpad starts misbehaving
(e.g. the whole touchpad becomes a big scroll zone and I can't move a
