OK I now saw this is supposed to be fixed again in 1.0.7-9 but note that
KALLSYMS is also a config option, even though it is hidden behind
CONFIG_EMBEDDED. Wouldn't it be better to check for e.g.
/proc/fs/nfsd/exports ?
