here's the patch for the NMU I'll upload in a minute.
The package's debian/rules was completely screwed up, I had to replace
about half of the lines. Additionally, the last version in the archive
(-12) wasn't cleaned before being packaged, so the diff attached
contains lots of cruft in debian
