Hi,
So this is a timestamp skew problem. At least configure.in is changed
by the Debian .diff, but configure isn't. Touching configure,
Makefile.in, and aclocal.m4 is enough to debuild again.
Please note however

within pbuilder), I looked further and it seems the presence of
automake1.9 and maybe of o

For the record, installing automake-1.9, and running debuild two times
seems enough to build.
