I have experimented the bug as well, this wreck up all the tetex distribution
after the attempt to update the system.
A quick (and dirty) workaround is as follow:
#> sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmimalloc.so.2
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmimalloc.so.3.0
