I have made this change, although on my system piuparts (1.1.7) does not give me this result - I still get a piuparts failure due to 9m55.8s ERROR: FAIL: Package purging left files on system: /etc/dbconfig-common/ owned by: dbconfig-common /etc/mysql/owned by: mariadb-server, mysql-common
