Hi,
I tried to reproduce the bug in different settings.
- A virtual machine installation: grub always writes to /dev/sda
- A new lenova laptop booting from dvd: grub writes to /dev/sda
- Installation on an external usb disk: grub writes to /dev/sda
This is the original disk in the machine,
Package: usbip
Version: 0.1.7-3
Justification: breaks the whole system
Severity: critical
After detach of the remote usb device (physical or via "usbip -d 0") the
system
freezes and the only solution is a hardware reset.
In the kernel log this message is located:
vhci_rx : ***ERROR***

With the update of KDE 4.4.3.4 (SID) the problem is solved.
So for me you can close this bug.
