I'm sorry I was talking about gapless playback. No crossfading. No
"fading" of any kind. In other words if two oggs overlap (ie the first one

I've just managed to run the "nosmp" option and have my network working as
well and it made no difference. The problem persists. I actually thought
you may have been on to something with that suggestion but it clearly
turns out not to be the problem. Did you want me to gather another set of
