Hopefully I can get this done in time for this to be released in
Trixie before the freeze. TIme is of the essence, but it is still
doable. Please give me a chance to try to save this package upstream,
so that it isn't removed from Debia

its been a while since this was last discussed, and it seemed tagging
a new release was pre-requisite to being added back to debian. Thus, I
have forked the fork, and tagged a release, shown below:

I can't seem to figure why, it compiles fine on my machine. the error
you're showing is due to libsdbus-c++-dev being missing from your
system. If this is not in the build-deps, a simple fix would be to add
this package to them.
