found that installing package 'freetype2-demos' fixed it.

This is fixed in stable/9 in r255443. The offending commit was already
reverted from the 9.2 branch prior to 9.2-RC3 for other reasons.

This is breaking cmake builds for me as cmake discovers the broken
symlinks instead of the actual library. Removing the broken symlinks
works around the issue.

e last month we had some early discussions on
the limitations to routing sockets and potential successors to them,
and the topic of implementing Netlink came up. There is no specific
plan for this at the present time, but it may be the eventual solution
to issues such as this one.

I guess the best solution would be to just use this patch:

I've got the same problem on Debian Lenny x86_64.
icecc-monitor 1.1-1 works fine, 1.1-3 cannot find the scheduler.
The scheduler is set up in a different subnet so broadcast won't find it. I'm
using USE_SCHEDULER to point the monitor to the correct location.

The build process complains about missing linux/config.h file. Creating
that file manually with touch resolves that issue; at least lirc_dev
and lirc_serial compile and work properly.

I'll gladly add you to the team, just ask me.
