While installing the gforge-mta-postfix variant, apt-get ran in infinite CPU
loop
and blocked in a Perl loop. It can be traced back to
/usr/share/gforge/bin/install-postfix.sh running

Same error message on missing symbol. In my case it happened while
opening a S/MIME signed message. As a workaround, running 'evolution
--disable-preview' then selecting a non-SMIME mail let you use evolution
again. You can reactivate the preview pane via the menus.

I can confirm the problem. It looks like mod_fcgid doesn't like it when the
server (a Ruby dispatcher in my case) is closing the connection right after
the fastcgi request has been sent (deduced from strace info). I'm on a sem
