I was also impacted by this bug, and the test build solves the problem once I
refreshed my login cookie.

This bug resolved for me a couple of days ago, after updating GTK+2.0 to
2.25.1. That release appears to have addressed similar bugs in various other
packages, and fixed the issue with gFTP as well.
