Hmm, since I haven't really tested the packages at all and you don't seem
to think that the issue is important, I won't push for inclusion in a point
update.
Cheers,
Richard

in more recent kernel sources.
So is this a bug in the header file - should it include itself?

ike you did for #453629,
please add them to the existing bug rather than opening a new one. I guess
you already noticed that. :) Thanks for your contribution!

Package: w3c-libwww
Severity: critical
This message is mainly for the RMs, BSP bug hunters etc. who have a look at
libwww.
I'm filing this against my own package.
I am going to request removal because:
- the code is old and suffers from bitrot
- there are probably more security issues lurking so
ug does not fit the
"grave" description, nor even "important"!
Cheers,
Richard

FWIW, I also experienced this when unmounting a USB stick using nautilus.
Because I pulled out the USB stick too quickly, I ended up with a corrupted
filesystem. :-/

FWIW, I've started work on implementing the solution outlined in
<http://curl.haxx.se/legal/distro-dilemma.html>. However, my spare time is
very limited, so I can't promise anything about when (or even whether) I
can finish this.

that_moment_ it might be necessary to
increase the .so version.
That's because programs are then required to link explicitly against one of
the SSL-enabling "backend libs", called "lib2" on the page above. You don't
suddenly want your old libcurl3-using programs to
t with the correct binary.

Richard
