Python 2.7.2-7 is the version of Python in sid. As a result, installtion of
GIMP 2.6.11-3+b2 is impossible, yielding the following error:

I too confirm this problem.
Additional notes:
1. While this bug is serious, I don't think it warrants a severity level
of serious. It does not constitute a serious violation of Debian policy
(i.e. violate a "must" or "required" directive).
2. Since Evolution hasn't changed recently, I doubt that
