Please find attached, a patch that I submitted to Ubuntu as a fix for the FTBFS issue, it is derived from the patch that Gentoo are using (http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=258946&action=diff) from Gentoo Bug# 333425. Zabbix seems to build w/ patch in pbuilder on my systems just fine now.
