What I did to get to a sane size:
$ systemctl stop fail2ban.service
$ rm /var/lib/fail2ban/fail2ban.sqlite3
$ iptables -F dynamic
$ systemctl start fail2ban.service
To get a count of dynamic
$ iptables -L dynamic |wc -l

unthreaded Perl. I've run siege tests on the sample data base and confirmed
