f-spot is looking for the library libgphoto2_port.so, but libgphoto2-port0 (as of version 2.2.1-4) only provides libgphoto2_port.so.0, so you have to create it: ln -s /usr/lib/libgphoto2_port.so.0 /usr/lib/libgphoto2_port.so Then it should work. So this is probably actually a bug in libgphoto2-p
