Alright, this still occurs without cryptsetup-suspend installed. Instead, the
system freezes.

That forces me to forcibly turn off the system, leading to potential data loss
when running the intense process.
I expect cryptsetup-suspend to suspend normally in a timely manner, even with
such a process still running.
Perhaps this is an issue with suspending in general?
