Can't reproduce, starts up just fine for me.
Could you perhaps include the logs from `/var/log/lightdm/´?

In the meantime, affected users can just run the command manually and
wait for the new packages, by running the following as root:
update-alternatives --remove pc /usr/bin/fpc
