I fixed the problem caused by the bug by changing the group from man to mail
for the directory /var/mail.
Should /var/mail be owned by root, and group mail, as in drwxrwsr-x root
mail?
So my new question is who or what entity set the directory group to man in
the first place? Was this done by p

The bug occurs if ucf is removed before dhcp-probe. Then "which ucf"
returns non-zero and the script is stopped because of "set -e".
