Olaf,
With some friendly help and prodding from Steve Langeseck, I
recognized some logic errors in the postinst script. Frankly, I am
surprised no one ran into it earlier. Here's what I surmise was
happening.

Hi Simon,
I'm trying to install my new digium b410p cards and I had to use misdn and
misdnuser from upstream. Have you plans to upgrade the misdn-kernel and
asterisk-chan-misdn packages?
Thank you

On amd64, openmovieeditor depends on libjack0 (>= 0.102.20), which is
not in Debian (unstable *or* experimental) or even in the NEW queue.
Could you please rebuild it against unstable's version

Well, it would be interesting if it turned out to be a kernel problem. I hadn't
installed hal until (relatively) recently, so I don't know what kernel version
introduced the problem.
I'm not sure what driver is used for these CD-ROM drives, but it might be worth
taking a close look at it. Perha

Well, hard to say it's related without actually being able to reproduce the
error, but this:
add_clamav2group || true
means that any errors from trying to add the clamav user to the clamsmtp
group on package install are silently ignored. Probably better to propagate

Hello,
After a full dist-upgrade, I'm still experiencing this problem.
The "good" thing is that the issue is present on Kubuntu 7.04 Alpha as well.
Later on I will post some details about the DVD medias which are not
automatically mounted after insertion in KDE.
