I am able to reproduce this bug, but on mipsel only. I am using a 2.6.17
64-bit kernel.
First I have found the bug is also present in the glibc from sarge, but
fixed in the glibc from experimental.

Hmm, this error doesn't appear on my system. I removed *xemacs*
packages and re-installed xemacs21-mule 21.4.19-1, and then
byte-compilation of apel is fine. I re-installed apel
10.6+0.20060424-1, it's also fine. For now, I've downgraded the

I am now able to reproduce this bug. The problem is that the postinst of
tzdata ask a question to the user, not via debconf, so it is not displayed.
