Most likely the LaTeX code produced by Songwrite contains something
like
\usepackage{ae}
Replacing that by
\usepackage{lmodern}
should solve your problem and lead to better results wrt fonts.

Yes it is. I also checked that I can really browse help pages when I
open yelp directly and use its search feature. It seems Gtk apps may use
an URI like “ghelp:/path/to/file”. I don't know what package can be
