This bug was fixed in time for bookworm.
I think closing it is the proper thing to do here.
I'm not 100% sure about the tags. I believe they do not apply
anymore so I'm dropping them. Feel free (Andreas) to readd them in case
they are still

Hi. For some reason this is not a problem in bookworm anymore,
therefore I'm marking this as fixed in this version.
(Could someone double-check?)
For bullseye, I propose the attached patch.
Note: Some people ask why bother to fix bugs like this
in stable when deboot
