Can we get this into testing/unstable somehow?
It would be really convenient to have less of these crashing caused by this
even if deprecated.

thanks for preparing those patches. I applied both to a local compile and
have not experienced a crash of discord in the timeframe I would have
expected several. Thanks a lot for preparing this!
