Dear Maintainer,
As you said, the python3 update to 3.8.2 works for me respect this Mypaint
issue. Now it is not required the symbolic link, and Mypaint works flawless.

It seems a problem with mypaintlib.so name library. In my system the
name is
_mypaintlib.cpython-38-i386-linux-gnu.so and it is expected: _mypaintlib.so
As dirty workaround, making a symbolic link allow running Mypai
