Gnome (Wayland).

I can add that the playhead (which is the name for the timeline cursor AKA
the little green triangle) does not appear during playback in audacity
2.4.2 in bullseye. I'm running it on Wayland in Gnome, Linux kernel
5.10.4-1 (2020-12-31) x86_64.

Dear Maintainer,
I switched from GNOME to XFCE the other day and I happened to listen to
my old recording using audacity
The timeline cursor works fine under X11
Wayland is the cause...

I experiencing this under debian testing on wayland (audacity 2.3.3).
Seems to be wayland related. Changing the session to Xorg solves the
problem.
