This is reproducible on two machines, both amd64.
Incidentally, downgrading just the firefox-esr package d

I’ve just upgraded my system (Debian sid) and now cannot use iceweasel
any more — after I start it and select the profile to use, it crashes;
the normal main screen is never even drawn.
