See "Using your current Debian kernel configuration as a starting point"
from https://wiki.debian.org/BuildADebianKernelPackage
I've updated that section accordingly
(https://salsa.debian.org/hertzog/debian-handbook/commit/3d34c50e4354d6de5b7a8d07cf3033f3860dddad).
I suppose some scripts broken with "newer" kernels (but which?), packages
missing, or required preparations undocumented.
Package: debian-handbook
Severity: normal
The description on how to compile the kernel packages has stopped working
with Debian 9 and kernel 4.14 and persists with Debian 10 kernel 4.19.
Command line:
$ nice -15 make -j1 deb-pkg KDEB_PKGVERSION=4.19.57-1 V=0
At the moment I get:
AR kern
