I see that there are more challenges that need to be tackled with a
complete solution for cross-building Go Debian packages, so I have
reopened this bug, so please feel free to continue the disc

I was recently asked how to cross build Debian packages with go sources
and figured that presently it wouldn't work at all. Effectively, all go
packages are cross bd-uninstallable
