Exactly; the dbus_python.egg-info directory. They are supposed to be
installed in the dist-packages directory (next to the dbus directory).

What exactly are "dist files"? Are they the contents of the
dbus_python.egg-info/ directory, or something else?
Where are they meant to be installed? Next to the dbus/ directory?

Dear Maintainer,
The Python dist files are not installed. If you install a package via pip that
setup_requires dbus-python pip will try to install the package from PyPI even
though it is already installed.
Please include the dist files
