FYI, I've uploaded your openjpeg2 branch as an NMU.
After the holiday season I will look into properly sorting the rest out.
Some comments:
The GCC warning fix silences GCC but doesn't fix the portability issues
with the code that it changes, since there can be platforms with floats
that are not
I confirm that the patch works well for me.
I went ahead and pushed it to Ubuntu because there's an
Ubuntu-specific package (hdhomerun-config-gui) that can benefit from
the fix.

Just letting you know I've just done a "git push -f" on my
debian/openjpeg2 which includes changes to allow the package to be built
with hardening options set.

I did have a look at that repo too, but it seems like it's out of sync
with the latest Debian source in sid (unless I've missed something).
They both have their own versions of 0.8.1-3.
Also, for now, I have represented my changes as patches in the
debian/patches direct

Looks like you forgot to push the branch. Also, please clone from the
upstream git repo instead of importing the Debian tarballs into git.
