Dear Tormod,
Thanks for clearing up the confusing timeline.

No worries, it is totally understandable. It is unpaid volunteer
activity in my spare time too.

Hi Petter,
Thanks for uploading!
Just to clarify what seems to be a misunderstanding due to the order
of received/read messaged, my question to you about sponsoring the
package was /before/ I got the offer from you. After seeing all your
extra conditions, I decided I will first check with my regu

It is unclear from your email, the lack of upload to mentors.debian.org
and not approaching me on IRC if you read my sponsoring preference page
linked to earlier. The preferences are the

Hi Petter,
I have now pushed a new dfu-util 0.11-2 to salsa. Can you please sponsor it?

Hi Petter!
Yes, I have been holding back adding the XML upstream until I see it
working in Debian and getting reviews from people like yourself.
I didn't notice you added a commit on salsa, thanks. Since I would

Dear Tormod,
I had a look at upstreaming this change to see if it could help get
this fix into unstable, but noticed you are also upstream, so it
seemed like it should be already taken care of.
Unless you object, I plan to NMU this fix into Debian. Not quite sure

Dear Tormod,
Do you need help uploading dfu-util to Debian? I notice there has been

converted the appstream XML to a upstreamable patch and fixed a few
issues discovered using 'appstreamcli validate-tree debian/dfu-util/'.
I believe the change as presented in git now is ready to be uploaded
to Debian.

Thank you very much for adding Appstream metainfo providing modalias
hardware IDs. Note, it might be an idea to submit the XML upstream, so
it is shared across all Linux distributions.

Hi, thanks for the bug report, and for the link to instructions. I
have now added added a metainfo file in salsa git,

Feel free to review it and comment on it.

Please announce the supported hardware via AppStream. That will allow
users that are using isenkram to know that they might want to install
dfu-util when they plugin a device that
