Given the long expected release time until 7.0.0, and that we do not need to change the interface, I have decided to merge the P-tree .fetchids acceleration code back into 6.4.0. Laszlo has uploaded the beta4 release to experimental for your, well, experimentation. Feedback solicited.

Actually, O(n * m), where m is the - limited - length of the UID strings, and in practice, few comparisons are claimed to be necessary on the average case, on many servers, UID are either very short or share common prefixes. It feels a lot faster at any rate with some 10,000 messages in the upstre
