Upstream has just released version 9 of the signify-openbsd package.
I've packaged it and uploaded it to mentors:
dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/signify-openbsd/signify-openbsd_9-1.dsc
If I am correct, the only remaining problems are:
