Could Debian just remove the faulty patch
upstream_remove_part_from_KXMLGUIFactory_on_exit and create 4.14.2-3?
I have checked it and this patch actually introduces version 4.14.3 without
naming it so, since it is the only difference in ark between 4.14.2 and 4.14.3.
The upstream fix is just rem
Unfortunately this bug is still present in stable (jessie), as the
package version there is still 4.14.2-2 as of today. Any chance this
could also be fixed in stable?
It even looks like the debian patch in 4.14.2-2
(upstream_remove_part_from_KXMLGUIFactory_on_exit) is partially
involved in this.

I just encountered this bug too. Downloaded and opened .deb file and
then data.tar.gz within that. Then closed the .deb file -> crash.
