I am at DebConf15 and expected my system time to update automatically,
given that I have "Automatic Time and Date" setup activated in GNOME.

On my system, I cannot set the timezone using the Date and Time settings. It
keeps wanting to make it EDT instead of CDT. It does the same whether I try to
manually set or set automatically from the internet. If I use the map to
