This seems to be caused by the rename of the logrotate config file
stemming from commit 4d4f988a (Move logrotate.d snippet to its own file;
dropped upstream). I think it could be fixed in 1.4.4-2~ by adding
dpkg-maintscript-helper mv_conffile \
/etc/logrotate.d/bmc-watchdog /etc/logrotate.d/fre
