Okay, thanks. There are no xulrunner packages in testing any more
(or sid for most architectures), with the release of Iceweasel 31.
However, I pulled xulrunner-29 from snapshot.desbian.org and it does
indeed work correctly.

Thanks for reporting the bug.
Apparently it has something to do with the Gecko version. Right now
upstream supports xulrunne/iceweasel 24.0 to 30.0.
If you can install xulrunner from testing you will see that it works.
In the meantime I will report the problem upsteam.
