I have a radeon 7850 on with an Intel Haswell CPU and still get the same
issue using xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:7.4.0-1 package in testing.
I don't use any xorg.conf file.

For a unknown reason, the radeon maintainer does not build glamor and
does not enable it in the driver, but will be forced to do so with 1.16.
Look at other bug with glamor in the title. In debian any recent AMD
graphic card is unaccelerated because of this.
