I suggest the bug is connected to xorg internals changes, bcs downgrading xorg
fixes it for me.

It's still failling with 331.67-1
The workaround of starting xcompmgr is working for me.

I've found that running a composition manager (such as xcompmgr) makes this
problem go away most of the time. However, occasionally a single frame still

I found temporary workaround on this issue: downgrade xserver-xorg-core to
1.14 using snapshots.debian.org (great thanks for those who maintain that
service).
This snapshot [1] contains working version of xserver-xorg-core.
